Past a few hundred kW, a charging hub no longer connects in LV: it moves to MV with a dedicated delivery substation. That is exactly what we build.
• MV connection • NF C 13-100 • DC charger harmonics • Delivered in 15–18 weeks
Installed power at a charging hub grows fast: four 150 kW chargers already make 600 kW. Sizing the transformer accounts for diversity (not every charger draws full power at once), the harmonics of DC chargers, and headroom for site expansion. The delivery substation follows the French NF C 13-100 framework and the distributor's prescriptions (per the text in force — validated at quotation).
| Hub configuration | Installed power | Indicative transformer |
|---|---|---|
| 4 × 150 kW | 600 kW | 630 – 800 kVA |
| 8 × 150 kW | 1,200 kW | 1,000 – 1,250 kVA |
| 6 × 300 kW | 1,800 kW | 1,600 – 2,000 kVA |
| Mixed hub with planned extension | > 2 MW | 2 transformers or 2,500 kVA+ |
Indicative values: real sizing depends on the diversity factor applied, the charger spectrum and your expansion strategy — confirmed at quotation.
Complete delivery available: transformer alone, or a full prefabricated delivery substation (enclosure, MV switchgear, transformer, LV board, metering) — a single point of contact, from quotation to delivery.
In practice, beyond roughly 250 kVA of demand, an LV connection becomes difficult or impossible depending on the local network: the distributor directs you to an MV connection with a delivery substation. Each case is settled with the network operator.
Strongly advised: going from 600 kW to 1.2 MW afterwards costs far more than sizing the enclosure and civil works for the target from the first substation. The transformer itself can be replaced or doubled in stages.
Yes for standard configurations (transformer or standard prefabricated substation): manufacturing, testing and shipping to your site. Special configurations are quoted with their own schedule.
