Ordering, pricing, lead times, import and customs, compliance, warranty: clear answers, including on what worries buyers most when the equipment is built far away.
In four steps: you describe your need in the configurator or with your own specification; our team comes back within 5 working days with a firm quote (first reply within 48 h); after ordering, the unit is built under our brand and inspected; it is delivered on site in 15 to 18 weeks with its complete documentation.
Every transformer is made to order. The price depends on the full specification, the price of copper and steel, and logistics. We don't run automatic pricing: you receive a firm quote prepared by our team.
No, we quote a single unit as readily as a batch. Volume discounts are available to installers, engineering firms and distributors for recurring orders.
Yes. The configurator frames the request, but you can also send your specification directly to devis@veltrium-energie.com. We come back to you the same way.
15 to 18 weeks for standard configurations (standard transformer or prefabricated substation), including manufacturing, testing and transport to site. See our transformer lead times guide.
No: HV substations are engineered on study. The single-line diagram, protection and civil works are assessed case by case, and the schedule is set with the quote.
Yes for standard configurations: the 15–18 week lead time covers manufacturing, testing and transport. The exact split of roles at customs depends on the Incoterm (see below).
Two options depending on the Incoterm. The most common in B2B: your company acts as importer (with its EORI number and VAT), and we supply the complete file (EU Declaration of Conformity, CE marking, test reports, nameplate) for frictionless clearance. We can also arrange delivered-price shipping via an importer established in the EU.
Depending on your preference: FOB / CIF (you import, the most economical), DAP (delivered to your site, you remain importer) or DDP (delivered and cleared). We state the Incoterm on every quote so the split of roles is clear.
No. If you have a regular freight forwarder, they handle the formalities and you reclaim import VAT directly — this is the standard way industrial equipment moves. Otherwise, we arrange delivery for you. Either way, the compliance file is supplied.
Yes, provided it is designed and documented for the EU: CE marking, Ecodesign Tier 2, IEC 60076, RoHS/REACH and WEEE. As the manufacturer placing the product on the market under its brand, Veltrium carries the regulatory responsibility, not the factory.
A 24-month contractual warranty from commissioning (or 30 months from delivery, whichever comes first), in addition to statutory guarantees. Claims handled directly by Veltrium, your single point of contact in Europe. See the warranty & after-sales.
Selection of qualified factories, quality control at key stages, IEC 60076 routine tests on every unit, and witness tests (KEMA / TÜV) available before shipment. The file for each unit is archived.
It depends mostly on the room and fire risk: dry-type is often required indoors (public buildings, hospitals, data centers), oil-immersed offers the best power/price ratio outdoors or in a dedicated room. See oil-immersed or dry.
Copper is our default choice (compactness, durability); aluminium remains available when weight or budget takes priority. See copper or aluminium.
Yes, that is our job as a manufacturer: we start from your specification (power, voltages, vector group, protection, accessories) and design the unit accordingly, under our brand and our compliance responsibility.
